General Help on the Winning on Wall Street Web Site

The WOWS Web site is optimized for Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 6+ for Windows and Netscape Navigator version 7+ for Windows. For Macintosh visitors, the site is optimized for Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 5.1.7 and Netscape Navigator version 7.1. Although it will perform adequately when viewed with Netscape Navigator 6+ for Windows, we recommend that you use the latest version of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/ and you can get the latest version of Netscape Navigator at http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/download.jsp.

This Web site also takes strong advantage of popup windows, not for ads, but for content. Many areas of the site, including feedback regarding Member Login, Stock Charts, the Wizard's Record, the Archives on the WOWS Stock Ideas for members, the Members Help information area, the Edit Member Personal Information area, and the Mutual Fund Descriptions for Mutual Fund members all come up in pop-windows. If you are using a popup window blocker, you may not be able to view some of the WOWS content.

Since most of the time you will have a choice when to view WOWS content in a popup window, you will have the opportunity to override your popup blocker when you click on a WOWS link that generates a new window. The WOWS rollover help messages will inform you when clicking a link or button will bring up a new window. On these occasions, press the override key custom to your popup blocker software when clicking on the WOWS link. The WOWS Web site does automatically generate popup informational windows if an error occurs during the Member login process and when giving feedback regarding e-mailing members forgotten passwords.

Your best overall bet if you are using a popup blocker and visiting the WOWS Web site frequently is to alter your popup blocker's settings to allow popup windows from Winning on Wall Street. We promise never to bombard our visitors with ads in popup windows.

GENERAL PROBLEMS

Q: When I click on certain links on the WOWS Web site, like Stock Charts, Membership Help, Edit Personal Info, or the Radio Show, nothing happens. Why?

A: Some of the features on the WOWS Web site, like those listed in the question above, come up in pop-up windows. If you have a pop-up blocker in place, these windows will not appear and the links will be ineffective. You need to review your pop-up blocking software to learn how to place Winning on Wall Street on your pop-up safe list so your pop-up blocker will not intercept pop-up windows from the WOWS Web site.

Q: I have a Apple Macintosh computer and I have trouble viewing parts of the WOWS Web site. Specifically, many of the panel windows show up empty.

A: The Winning on Wall Street web site makes extensive use of iFrames, a web browser feature that was launched around 2000. Some older web browsers, particularly those for the Apple Macintosh have trouble with iFrames. If you have OS X (Operating System Ten), then we recommend that you download and utilize Netscape Navigator 7.1 for OS X. If you do not have OS X, or wish not to use Netscape Navigator, we recommend that you make sure you have the most recent version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer 5.2.3 for OS X and Internet Explorer 5.1.7 for OS 8.1 - 9.x).

EMAIL PROBLEMS

Q: Sometimes I don't get my Winning on Wall Street e-mails, why is that?

A: Most Internet Service Providers and internal Corporate IT Departments have spam filters set up for their clients/employees. Sometimes these spam filters may block some of our e-mails because of questionable word usage or just because many of our e-mails are sent as HTML format with nested tables. If you are not receiving e-mails from us, especially if the reception is erratic, we recommend that you talk with your Internet Service Provider and make sure that Winning on Wall Street appears on your safe list (White List), clear from any spam filters.

Q: I am on AOL and I am not getting underlined hyperlinks in your emails.

A: Most likely you have hyperlinks turned off. You can turn them back on again by going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, then MAIL PREFERENCES, then click "Allow Hyperlinks in Email".

Q: I use Eudora for my email and I receive the WEEKLY UPDATE with strange formatting.

A: Most likely you have an older version of Eudora. Go to their site, download and install the current version. These, and other HTML emails, should then be read properly by Eudora.
